We are currently looking for a Planner.  Under general supervision the Planner ensures work orders, material requirements and general planning duties are administered.

Duties:

  • Production work order entry, processing and closing.
  • Prepare and update planning & materials requirements.
  • Miscellaneous data entry, record processing, filing and other duties as required.
  • Act as point of contact for sales and engineering on production lead-time.
  • Work with production scheduling and deadlines.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Regular and predictable attendance is required. Must be available for month end closing.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Individual should possess high degree of accuracy and excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication, math and multi-tasking skills required.
  • Works well independently and as a team member.
  • 3+ years experience in electronics planning environment.
  • Prior experience of Syspro Database is a plus.

The Product Support Technician will work directly with customers to help resolve any Hardware or Software issues regarding operation and maintenance of remote monitoring products and ruggedized hand-held computers. The position also requires travel to customer’s sites to install equipment and troubleshoot problems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • After a training period, travel will be required to perform installs and troubleshoot problems in the field.
  • Answer incoming calls from customers concerning technical support issues in a professional, polite, and courteous manner then provide prompt resolution.
  • Follow up all requests in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Strong PC skills with Database Programs, MS Word, Excel.
  • Maintain diplomacy when addressing escalated matters.
  • Interact with the engineering and production departments to improve product reliability.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • AA Degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent military training or experience is required.
  • Tech Support experience is preferred.
  • Superior interpersonal skills for dealing with customer problems.
  • Experience in the test, troubleshooting and repair of digital and analog circuits is preferred.
  • Must be willing to travel as required.
  • Must be a self starter that is persistent in meeting deadlines and working on their own.

We are looking for a Process Technician.  This position is responsible for the process improvement, programming and maintenance of automated electronic production equipment utilized throughout the facility. This person must have the ability to analyze and improve the manufacturing and assembly methods, create maintenance procedures, maintenance records and scheduling. Work with customers, vendors and production to promote quality manufacturing in a timely and productive manner.

 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and trouble shoot electrical and mechanical problems with automated production equipment.
  • Gather and analyze data to improve production processes.
  • Continuous improvement of manufacturing and assembly methods.
  • Assist in the creation of assembly aids, work instructions and maintenance procedures.
  • Service equipment and tools required for production.
  • Provide facilities maintenance and support when needed.
  • Work with Quality and electronic production to resolve problems.
  • Stay abreast of changes equipment and technologies related to electronic production.

 

Requirements

  • Associates of applied science of electronics or 5 years equivalent experience.
  • Experience with electronic components and the basics of electronic and mechanical design
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in problem solving, and resource management.

As Product Manager, you will identify, evaluate and promote opportunities to develop profitable new products and services to accelerate the expansion of our innovative M2M solutions in the railroad, water and agricultural industries. You must be capable of understanding various industrial applications, operational challenges, regulatory requirements and the potential of Elecsys IoT solutions to address the market needs of different industrial customers.

 

You will work on a team that is charged with business development and product line contribution as a business unit. A primary focus is to develop innovative new products for industry while increasing the profitability of existing products. You will develop new products from existing ideas and help to develop new ideas based on your industry experience and contact with customers and prospects.

 

You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy, a big-picture vision and the drive to make that vision a reality. You must enjoy spending time in the market to identify and understand specific industry challenges and develop innovative solutions for these problems with a quantifiable return on investment.

 

You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company. You will work with engineering to define product release requirements. You will work with sales and marketing to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customers. You will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for the product line, attending industry conferences, conducting market research and working with key customers as required.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to development and launch
  • Specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research, competitive analysis and validation supported by ongoing visits to customers, prospects and partners
  • Create compelling business cases for new products which offer significant revenue potential that is measurable and achievable
  • Articulate the product positioning, key selling points and define the pricing strategy for the product line
  • Drive requirements and feature definitions for assigned products across development teams, serving as the voice of the customer to ensure product integrity and market success
  • Analyze potential partner and distribution channels for the product
  • Develop and implement a go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute
  • Travel to customer and non-customer sites in North America (15%)

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of product management, operations or technical experience with technology-related products
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business or related field
  • Knowledgeable in technology with a strong technical aptitude
  • Working knowledge of general mechanical principles and applications
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Microsoft Office proficiency

DESIRED SKILLS

  • Experience in development for mobile devices as well as in-depth knowledge of iOS SDK or Android SDKs / NDKs.
